Prologue

The boy was in second year. He lied on the patch of green grass, and gazed up to the night sky. The sky was so clear, the stars was blinking so brightly in air. The boy smiled to himself, as he waited for the arrival of his boyfriend- a third year student from a private school.

"Tesshi, sorry for waiting!" a voice sounded at the back. The boy stood up, and turned back. He looked up, and smiled towards his boyfriend. "It's okay!"

The older boy was wearing a white coat and white pants. A red tie was tied neatly between his collars. Right around his neck, was his black velvet sling bag. He nodded his head, and placing his bag beside him, he settled down beside the younger boy.

"You're late today," the younger boy, Tegoshi Yuya spoke, as he rested his head onto his shoulders. The older boy, went around Tegoshi's shoulders and patted his head. "I'm sorry, Tesshi. I had a meeting for council board today, and my project is meeting up to the deadline soon," Takahisa Masuda, Tegoshi's boyfriend apologised.

"Eh.. So that's the difference between public and private school. Private school seemed so much more busier, and the uniform looks greater too.." Tegoshi mumbled, sulking while he glanced down to his black top, and black bottom uniform.

Masuda seems to noticed that, and he patted Tegoshi's head. "Haha! It's better to be in public, it's so much more relaxing, as compared to private, the stress level is so much higher! Be contented with what you have, Tesshi!"

Tegoshi gazed up to Masuda. "Massu, you sound like an old man!"

Masuda laughed it off.

It was getting late. The cold wind was chilling the bones of the both boys that was walking down the long stretch of road. Both of them held onto each other hands tightly, as they walked down the way home, shoulders touching each other.

"Tesshi, are you cold?" Masuda asked, placing his hand over Tegoshi's shoulders, as a mean to warm him up. Tegoshi looked up, and shooked his head. "I'm fine, Massu," yet, his hands were trembling.

Masuda pressed Tegoshi closer to his shoulders. Tegoshi just tightened the grip on his hand. Why did Masuda felt like something major is going to happen? Why did Masuda felt that, this matter is going to be really really big that it will hurt himself so much? Masuda shaked his thoughts away, and continue to accompany Tegoshi home.

Once he reached the gate of Tegoshi, he bade farewell. Just when he was about to leave, Tegoshi grabbed him by his sleeves. "Ma... Massu," Masuda turned back, to realise that Tegoshi's face was pale white. "Tesshi! What's wrong?!"

"I.. I feel terrible..." Tegoshi muttered, his whole body was obviously trembling. Was it the cold that caused him like that? Or.. what?

Tegoshi crumbled to the floor, his hands was holding onto his neck tightly. "MA.. MASSU...!" Masuda was so afraid to touch Tegoshi. What if.. what if it's...?

"Mas..su....! HELP ME!! MASSU!!!" Tegoshi screamed so loudly. Sometimes when Masuda thinks back, why didn't anybody from the streets helped? It was as if that the whole town, only existed only two people- Tegoshi Yuya and Masuda Takahisa.

Masuda retracted. He looked at Tegoshi, whose now head was lifting high up, and his hands still clutching tightly onto his neck. Just when Masuda was about to approach Tegoshi, he realised that Tegoshi have started to float up from the ground. "Tesshi... You're.. you're..!" Masuda once again retracted back, as he stumbled upon his steps, and fall to the floor.

"MASSSSU!! HELP ME....!!!" Tegoshi was still struggling. His face was so white, like.. ghost? Masuda's mind appeared the word, 'ghost'. Masuda started to shivered from head to toe, as he stared at Tegoshi. Should he help? What if the ghost gets onto him?.. Masuda shooked his head, as he hurriedly got up on his feets and ran away.

He dumped Tegoshi.

A mere three months relationship was not worth for the sacrifice Masuda's life. That's what Masuda thought. Afterall, he's in a private school, and a bright future awaits for him.

Since then, Masuda have never ever meet with Tegoshi anymore. The next day, Masuda decided to apologize to Tegoshi. When he reached the door, he pressed the door bell.

The door opened, and a middle-aged woman opened the door. "Yes? Who are you looking for?"

"Is Tegoshi at home? Tegoshi Yuya?" Masuda asked, in a very polite manner.

The middle-aged woman etched her eyebrows. "Tegoshi Yuya? There's no such person. Although we're Tegoshi household," Masuda widened his eyes. That's.. that's impossible..! For the past three months, he have been sending Tegoshi home, and he clearly entered the house. However, Masuda have only recognised Tegoshi's cousin, who is clearly not at home, or is he?

"Auntie, whose at the door?" a younger voice came to the door, and opened to see clearly.

"This boy came to find a boy named Tegoshi Yuya. Do we know anybody by that name?" the middle-aged woman asked the boy. The boy's face was revealed. Masuda widened his eyes once again. "Ah! It's you!" Masuda voiced out, totally unawared that he had said it out loudly. The boy looked at him, and etching his eyebrows, he asked, "Do.. I know you?"

Masuda smacked his forehead. Something is definitely wrong. He's Tegoshi's cousin right? How in the world could he not know about Tegoshi? His cousin have even met him before, but it's a pity that Tegoshi did not told Masuda his cousin name. "There's no such a person here, I mean, Tegoshi Yuya,"

"Shige, let's go in, it's dinner time," the middle-aged woman voice out, before pushing the boy named Shige into the house.

Masuda shooked his head. He bowed down, "Thank you," and walked off. Something is wrong, and something is definitely weird around here. The cousin, he was definitely knowing Tegoshi's existence. He even called Tegoshi's name, how could that be a mistake?

But yet, Masuda never probe further into this matter. Tegoshi probably have been lieing to me aabout his address. Masuda shrugged it off with a though of ,'It's a gain and lost, just take it that I've never knew him,'

And Masuda continued on his busy high school life- or should i say, his busy life as a private high school student.
