Chapter Six
"Takahisa!" Tegoshi's voice was heard from afar. Masuda have just exited out from the entrance of their company when Tegoshi have called him very loudly. Taken aback, Masuda looked towards the source of voice, and he observed Tegoshi was actually standing by his car, hands on the door of the car. "Let's go!" Tegoshi shouted, gesturing Masuda to go over.
Masuda then walked over hurriedly, and opened the door to the backseat, when Tegoshi's face changed. "Takahisa, what're you doing?" Masuda stopped, and looked over. Tegoshi was staring at him from the window of the driver's seat. "Your seat is here," Tegoshi said, as he pointed to the seat beside the driver. Masuda apologised, before going to the other side, and entering the car. He then buckled his seatbelt, and with his two hands onto his lap, he nodded his head, before Tegoshi drove off.
The ride to the restaurant was silent. What could be heard was only the radio playing inside Tegoshi's car, and the constant typing of Masuda on his PDA. Tegoshi glanced over occassionally. "Takahisa, what're you doing?" Masuda continued typing on his PDA, while he answered. "Oh, I'm typing the report that Itoshi needs next week,"
"Report? What report?" Tegoshi asked, eyeing at Masuda, as he turned back to the rearview. "Oh. I think Himura-san haven't told you, since you're new?" Masuda paused, type something, and continued. "Our company is currently having a big project with the Operational Theatre Works,"
"Wow! Isn't that the international cooperation? Why would they want to work with us?" Tegoshi asked. "Ain't we just a brand company?"
"Yes. They've been interested in our brand for quite awhile, and would like to use our brand to promote their own company, as well as trying to work together with us, so that the profit and the revenues will be higher. In other words, it actually benefits both side," Masuda explained. Tegoshi nodded his head. "Oh, I understand,"
Masuda turned and widened his eyes. "Boss? You really understand? I only said like.. one time?"
"Yeap. It's that easy isn't it? In other words, we're joining forces with them to have a better profit earn for the company, right?"
Masuda's eyes opened. He knew that Tegoshi's clever, but not to the extend of this. He had to listen to many people explaination of this before he actually get the reason behind the project. "Boss, what do you think is the purpose of this project?"
Tegoshi then tilted his head, "Hm... To me, i think it's more of partnership. Whereby the earnings both company got spilt up into two right? That's the term in business. For me, I think Himura-san probably might actually want to use this chance to 'get'"
"Get?" Masuda asked. This time, he stopped his work on the PDA, and looked towards Tegoshi. "Yes. That's the term. Himura-san probably wants to use this chance to bring up the brand name. Because working with the Operational Theatre Works will benefit the reputation of our company, ne? So, even though th partnership doesn't help him earn money, it will actually highly boost up the rating of our brand," Tegoshi widened his eyes, "Woo! Good job, Himura-san!"
Masuda turned back, and continued typing on his PDA, uttering nothing anymore.
"Boss, we're eating here?" Masuda asked, once he stepped out of the car. Revealing in front of him, was a not so classic restuarant, but yet not so run-down. Following Tegoshi behind, Masuda entered the restuarant.
"Irashaimase! Table for t--" before the greeting was done, a scream was heard. Then, all the customers have turned to the door. "TEGO-CHAN!" following that, was someone jumping on Tegoshi. Masuda's eyes widened. The girl- wasn't so pretty, wasn't so cute. Masuda snorted, and turned away. What's with that girl?
"Shiroi! Get off Tego now!" another voice sounded. An older man have walked over, and grabbed the girl by her collar, dragging her down. Tegoshi then smiled, and greeted. "Ryo-nii-tan! I'm home!" The guy, patted Tegoshi's head, and smiled. "Welcome home, Tego!"
"Shiroi-chan, I'm home," Tegoshi then bended down, and smile at the younger girl. She then smiled back, "Welcome home, Tego-chan!"
"Ah, Sorry Takahisa. I haven't introduced yet, ne?" Tegoshi turned around, to be facing with Masuda's mouth wide open. "This is my brother, Ryo," Tegoshi pointed to Ryo. Ryo bowed his head. "And this is my little sister, Tanaka Shiroi, she's my adopted sister, that explains her surname," Shiroi smiled at Masuda, "Onii-chan, yoroshiku!" Masuda's mouth was still wide open. Tegoshi went over, and close it, before slapping his head. "Takahisa! Let's go and and eat!" Masuda then regained his conscious, and went over to the seat that Ryo directed.
"What would you like to eat?" another voice sounded. This sound is more familiar, Masuda was sure he had heard it somewhere before. He turned, to be facing with that boy. Yes, that boy- who said he had long forgotten who's Tegoshi.
"Ah! Shige!" Tegoshi exclaimed. The waiter smiled, and said, "Welcome home, Tegoshi,"
"I'm home," Tegoshi then looked down to the menu. Before he stopped and looked at Masuda. "Takahisa, this is my good friend. Kato Shigeaki. He works here as part time. Oh, he work in our company too. As.. Koyama Keiichiro's assistant secretary. That Shige,"
Masuda's eyes widened. He looked over to the boy. He had never heard him spoke when he came over with Koyama occasionally to his office. 'Is he the Shige years back?' Masuda thought, because ever since he first met Shige with Koyama, he had found him dead familiar, yet Masuda just couldn't remember who was it. Now, he remembered. He was certain that he had 90% of the look from the Shige back then in high school, but Masuda shrugged it off as a 'You're thinking too much,'
Was it really his thoughtful thinking?
