"Riko! Are.. are you okay?" Kento asked, as he kneeled down beside Riko, and went his hands around her shoulders. "I'm okay," Riko mumbled, as she lifted her hands to wipe away her tears. Yamada and Yuto, with Chinen just looked at her blankly, before she stood up, and started showing them their rooms. After that, she hurriedly locked herself inside the room, and stayed inside for a few hours.
"Aiko.." the said boy mumbled, as he gazed at her from outside the ward. They were now at Singapore General Hospital, and Dr Chen, Aiko's previous diagnosis doctor, have started to look into her case.
"She's still not waking up, probably get something, or someone precious to her, to talk to her, so that it might helps.."
"It's Chinen Yuri, right? You need him, right?" Hiroyuki mumbled, as he clenched his fist tightly. "Be well, please,"
"Wait, Riko, what about school?" Yuto asked, as he suddenly realized they still have a week of studying to go back in Japan. "I've took leave off already. I told them that there's something urgent for five of us to settle, and he approved. He's easy to manipulate, some of SMAP's items, and he's there approving," Riko said, as she took up a chicken meat, and stuffed it into her mouth. "AHHH! Herbal chicken, it's awesome!" Riko muttered, shaking her head, stuffing more rice into mouth.
"Singapore's foods! I've missed them!" Riko commented, as she placed her chopsticks down and smiled at her satisfaction.
Yuto and Yamada have looked at each other, and slowly took up the chicken to eat. One bite, and they feel like it was as if they're in paradise. "This.. this is awesome!" Yamada muttered, as he quickly took a few more pieces. Chinen was slowly eating, as he gazed up and down. "Ne, Chii," Riko called out, making the older boy to turn his vision towards her. "You really forgotten everything?"
"Eh?"
"Like, even Aiko?"
"Who's that?" Chinen asked again. Riko looked at Chinen, and turned towards Kento. Yuto and Yamada just looked at Chinen, and a facial of sorrow appeared on their face. How could Chinen just forget her like this? After what they've went though.
'It was due to shock,'
The doctor's voice vibrated inside Yuto's mind. Was it really shock? Or.. Chinen's brain had chose to erase everything that have to do with Aiko, or in fact, his own painful memories? Yuto massaged his temples, upon remembering all those hard times that Chinen went through without Aiko by his side. It was really a miracle, that Chinen have managed to survive till now. If it's him, and that happened onto Yamada, he would never.. never ever be this.. strong.
He looked down to the younger boy, who was now looking up to him. "Yu-kun, you fine?" Yuto smiled. He was lucky to have such a boyfriend.
Riko stood up, and slammed the dining table. "ALRIGHT! OFF WE GO!" She shouted, as she rushed into the room, got changed into a nicer set of clothings, and urged the others to hurriedly eat and leave. Four of them once again, was in a dilemma, didn't know what Riko wanted to do.
They went down, and took a taxi down to a school. Right outside, it stated "Compassvale Secondary School". She smiled, and slowly entered, asking the others to follow her. "Miss Sim," Riko called out, as she walked over to a woman, Four of the boys followe closely behind.
"Riko!" the woman turned around, and faced Riko. Both of them exchanged hugs, before Riko settled down. "They're..?" Miss Sim asked. "They're Aiko's and my friends back in Japan,"
The woman nodded her head, and introduced herself. "Nice to meet you boys, I'm Miss Sim. Their form teacher back then when they were still studying here,"
Four of them looked at each other, before Riko started translating for them. Four of them then nodded their head, as a return greeting. "And, you urgently called me out here, what's wrong?" Miss Sim turned towards Riko, her face showing every worry she have. "Miss Sim, I would like to know if, did Saito contact you about Aiko?"
Her face stiffened, as she looked to the side, and then back to Riko. Riko's eyes never leave Miss Sim. "Um.. No,"
"You're lying," Chinen blurted out. Riko and Miss Sim turned towards him, as he sat up. "When someone is lying, their eyes moved to the side before answering. Just now, when you're answering her, you didn't look directly into her eyes, so, you're lying," Chinen stared at her. "I'm not lying, that's why I'm looking into your eyes. You're lying, because you know you've been exposed, and you dared not to look into my eyes,"
Miss Sim sighed, and shake her head. "It seems that I can't hide it from you guys, yes, Saito did contact me and inform me about it. I was the one who introduced Dr Chen to him as well,"
"Dr Chen?" Riko asked. Miss Sim looked at Riko, before she scratched her head. "Wait, Riko. Where didn't you know?"
"Everything. Tell me everything you know, Miss Sim,"
"Alright, it started off years ago, about one to two years after you guys transferred to Japan, Saito contacted me,"
Riko nodded her head, as a form for Miss Sim to continue.
"Saito told me that Aiko need the best specialist I know, and need it immediately. Saito was unwilling to tell me anything, so I rushed down to the hospital. That was when I saw Aiko's head was in a beanie, and her face was white and frail,"
'Sugihara-san?' Miss Sim asked, as she slowly walked towards the girl lying in the ICU. Saito shut his eyes, and turned away.
'Aiko is suffering from cancer. It's tumour brain. It's different from brain cancer, it's a deadly one, and it would cost her life anytime,'
Miss Sim turned towards where Saito was, and turned back. 'I need a specialist, any will do, please, just save Aiko,' Saito cried, pulling onto Miss Sim's sleeve. Miss Sim patted onto Saito's shoulders. 'I will try my best, don't worry, Saito,'
Before she left, she turned back to gaze at the young and fragile girl lying on the bed, with tubes and tubes connected to her body.
