 << CHAPTER NINE                                                                

Past-Masuda's eyes widened. "Wha...What?!"

"MASUDA TAKAHISA! WAKE UP NOW! Although it's holiday doesn't mean you can sleep in!" his mother screamed, storming into the room. Past-Masuda sat upright on the bed, and his mother had question marks on her head. "What are you doing?"

Past-Masuda looked at the future him, and made him realised that his mother couldn't see him. Past-Masuda smiled, before looking at his mother, and got out of bed.

"Eh~ so you're telling me if I don't do something, Tesshi is going to die?"

Future-Masuda nodded his head. Past-Masuda looked at Future-Masuda. "I'll protect Tesshi with my own hands," before past-Masuda have walked towards the destination that he was supposed to meet the past-Tegoshi.

Future-Masuda looked at the familiar scene. How could he forget that day? That day was as though his last moments spent with Tegoshi. After that, Tegoshi never return.

Past-Masuda looked at the Tegoshi in front of him, before he remembered what the future of his said to him. 'Tegoshi died in a robbery at the jewellery shop, where you decided to buy your mother the birthday present. He got killed by a gunshot. No matter what, avoid that place!'

Past-Masuda didn't know if he should believes his words. However, it's better to be safe than sorry. He then turned to Tegoshi and told him that they'll go to the movies instead. Tegoshi of course agreed without any hesitation.

Future-Masuda stood at jewellery shop to wait for the arrival of the robbers. He wanted to stop the robbers, if it is possible.

The clock slowly passes the time, and future-Masuda constantly look at his watch. Soon, a speeding car could be seen coming from a corner. Masuda hurriedly ran in front of the store. Just then he recognised that one robber. How could he forget it too? He clearly stare at the robber when he pulled the trigger towards Tegoshi.

It was a good thing Future-Masuda did learn judo after Tegoshi's death. He held the guy by the neck, and locked him up. His comrades all stare at Masuda. Masuda locked him even tighter, and the guy didn't scream, afraid that the scream might attract unnecessary attention, and in that way, it's difficult for him to run away after the robbery.

Masuda smirked. He is in the advantage now. He gave a glare to the other two comrades, before pulling the guy to the back of the alley.

"Turn yourself in, I know you're Chinen's father, and you've been abusing him!" Masuda shouted.

The guy blinked his eyes, before he stood up and wanted to leave. Masuda locked him down, before twisting his arm to the back of the guy. The guy finally cried out in pain. He toppled down, knowing that what he was about to do was ridiculous.

Masuda looked at his watch. No time left, he pulled the guy to the police station. A small child was seen running into the station after the police had contacted the guy's family member.

Tucking his hands into his pockets, Masuda's mission in the past have ended. The clock strike, and a light appeared, before Masuda closed his eyes.

The next moment he opened, he was back to where he was, right in front of the cuckoo clock.

He looked at the time, it was exactly one hour after he left his world. Sighing, he went home and prepare to see what tomorrow brings him to.

The next morning, Masuda could ward a soft voice shaking him, and calling him to wake up. "Massu, Massu~" he slowly opened his eyes, and the person beside him was his beloved, Tegoshi. He widened his eyes, before sitting up, and grabbing onto Tegoshi's shoulders. "You... you're alive!"

"Of course I am, what are you talking about?" Tegoshi smiled, before slapping Masuda's head. "Go get ready before your mother is going to scold you again!" Tegoshi said, as he got up and left the room. Masuda stormed down his room, and saw Tegoshi was already waiting patiently at the door of his house. "Off you go you two, and Masuda! Don't make Tegoshi late because of you!" his mother reprimanded before pushing the two out of the house.

Masuda pondered for a moment. Future changed. He was able to go back to the past, save Tegoshi, and even brought Chinen's father to justice.

When both of them arrived at school, two figures came towards them, and greeted them. "Masuda-senpai, Tegoshi-senpai, good morning!"

"Ah! Morning Daiki, Chinen!" Tegoshi said, before hocking his hands around both of their shoulders. Masuda went towards Chinen, before looking at him. "How is your father?"

"Eh? My father? Um, yea, he's fine. He's working now. What about him, Masuda-senpai?" Chinen questioned. Masuda shakes his head, before patting on his junior's head. "Nothing matters now, no worries," before he skipped towards school.

Masuda placed his hand onto the clock, before he whispered, "Thank you, Riko,"

Although it was dim, there was slight light shining out from the cuckoo clock. Masuda turned, and left.
