<< Chapter Four                            Chapter Six >>

“Again Again, he’s going to avoid us again,” the boy said as he bounced the basketball on his hand. “Jeez, that incident has been over for one year already, why can’t he just give it up, forget about it, and come back to play with us? No one is harping on it anymore,”

Daiki took his bag, and hanged it over his shoulders, before he walked out of school. He passed by the park that he was from that day, and settled down onto the chair. Over there, he spotted that figure that was there the other day, again.

“Neko-san, eat this up and be well okay?”

He is talking to the cats again. Daiki looked over to the boy, and started to speak out. “Hey, do you mind lending your cat to me for a moment?” The boy turned and looked at him, before he stopped what he was doing, and pushed the cat to walk over to his side. Daiki use both of his hands to pick the cat up, and carried it as though it was a newborn baby.

“Hey neko-san,” Daiki started to follow what the other boy did. The other boy was now seen leaning against the bench, and staring at the sky.

Daiki started to talk to the cat about his problem, about the betrayal, his backstabs, and everything that happened the whole year during his year one.

‘Meow~’ the cat purred out loudly, before it jumped out of his hands, and walked away. Daiki looked at it, before he sighed, and took his bag to walk off when the boy stopped him.

“Hey, that’s kind of rude. Borrowing my cat, sharing your troubles out, and without even saying your name or any expression of gratitude, you’re just leaving?”

Daiki turned and bowed down his head. “Thank you, and sorry for not introducing myself,” Daiki lifted his head up and smiled. “My name is Arioka Daiki, nice to meet you,”

The boy’s eyes widened, before he backtracked slightly. “A…Arioka…. Daiki?” he repeated after Daiki.

Daiki looked at the boy’s expression, before he started to wonder what did he do that shocked that boy so much. The boy slowly walked towards Daiki, and looked at him from head to toe. “No… No wonder you said that you preferred the cyber world. That’s because of what you went through that you locked yourself up,” the boy said, staring deep into Daiki’s eyes.

Daiki’s face started to flush red, before he pushed the boy away and started to run, without even knowing the other boy identity.

“We’ll meet again, Daiki,”

It was Friday.

“Yaotome, we need to stay back today to discuss on the development for the cafeteria we’re g----” the class chairman went over to Hikaru’s table. Before he could even do anything, Hikaru stood up, and with his bag in his hand, he pushed the chairman away. “Sorry, gotta rush,”

The other classmates saw him running out of the classroom, before they walked over to the chairman. “Hey Ren-san, don’t you think you’re treating Yaotome exceptionally good? Didn’t you say the school festival is a class thing?”

The chairman started to lower his head and apologize, hoping that everyone will forgive Hikaru.

Hikaru isn’t like this. He sweared.
