Chinen sighed, before he settled down under the tree located outside of the school. He took a stone from the ground, before throwing it into the pond. Just then, a guy groaning in pain was heard, and he hurriedly ran over to where the voice was coming from.

“Naka-Nakajima Yuto?” Chinen exclaimed, before he went over to Yuto, and saw that his forehead was bleeding. “Wh—What happened?” Chinen panicked, before he took his napkin out of his pocket, and wet it using the pond water, before he dapped it onto Yuto’s wound again.

“South High bastards, they ganged up on me,” Yuto murmured, before Chinen have slightly hit his head. “Stop fighting or creating troubles! I’m the student council president, and I am supposed to report you if you ever do such things you know!”

Yuto whacked his hand away, but snatching the napkin away from Chinen. “Then do it, you’re just the teacher’s dog right?”

This comment has angered Chinen, but however, he didn’t scold Yuto back. Somehow when Yuto said that comment, Chinen could feel that Yuto went through something painful, much more painful that he ever felt.

Chinen sighed, before he took the napkin back, and wet it once again. Yuto was too lethargic to move anywhere, so Chinen is sure that Yuto would just be resting under the tree for awhile more. He looked at Yuto and smiled. “Ah, I’ll just pass it this time. Just don’t get our school into trouble, you understand?”

“No. Who’s going to listen to what you say you idiot,” Yuto retorted back, facing away. “Thanks,” he whispered.

Chinen smiled, before continued to dap onto Yuto’s injury, without saying anything.

“YU!” a voice shouted, before a figure was seen running towards Yuto. “Ugh, that noisy bastard,” Yuto mumbled, before Chinen have sniggered at that comment. Chinen then stopped what he was doing, before he saw Takaki came hugging Yuto, and Yuto was badly pushing him away.

“I’m glad you’re fine! Jeez! I thought I heard that you were beaten up real bad by those South High jerks!” Takaki went blabbering once he settled down beside Yuto.

“Yea. They came to find me regarding last year issue. You know, that shop uncle thing. I recently just bashed the new group up, and so they wasn’t that happy,” Yuto explained.

Chinen continued sitting there, waiting for Takaki to realize his existence.

“AH!” Takaki shouted, before he pointed towards Chinen. Chinen forcefully smiled, before he looked at Takaki. “You finally saw me huh?” Takaki sheepishly laughed, before he stood up and helped Yuto. Chinen then followed wise and Yuto just tried to get off from them. “Jeez! I can walk myself!”

Takaki then continued his words, “And then you’ll fall off. If not you’re appear like a zombie in front of the others,”

“SHUT UP, YUYA!” Yuto grumbled, before he and Takaki looked at each other before laughing. Chinen smiled at the sight, before he felt a slight hit of his heart against his chest.

He looked towards Yuto, and the thump in his heart came again.

‘So… this Yuto guy can smile and laugh too,’ he thought.

“CHINEN!!!!!!!” Yamada screamed, before he pounced onto him when he entered the classroom. Chinen hurriedly shrugged it off, and run over to his seat, with Yamada still chasing after him from behind. “WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT !?” Chinen screamed, which caught the attention of the whole class.

“SHH! You see, I actually thought of something. Since you told me before that I’m supposed to find a love to escape from the delinquents hand, which is impossible, so why not using your student council president position to hold an event?!” Yamada said, before he smiled towards Chinen. Chinen took out his pencil box and placed it onto the table, before he turned to Yamada, hoping he will continue.

“Valentine’s Day is coming right? Since our school doesn’t have any girls, we usually pass it as a day itself. Why not we hold and event, and chose about two from each class from the school body, and ask them to confess to the person that they like on stage?! Well, it’s up to them if they want to say the name, but it’s not compulsory! So…”

Before Yamada finished his words, Chinen have barged into his idea. “So means that I’ll get you to go up on stage to confess and then the delinquents will know that you have someone you like, so they won’t pester you anymore, right?”

Yamada nodded his head like a child finally getting his toy after a long persuasion to his parents.

“Well…” Chinen pondered for a moment, “that might work. I’ll suggest it to the committee later after school and I’ll see what they say,”

Yamada jumped in delight, before he hugged Chinen one last time, and went off to his seat, whistling to himself.

After school, Chinen headed down to the student council board meeting and suggested this plan. The secretary of the student council has actually objected it, but the others members were in agreement to it. “Chinen-san! You have just got this position of the president and we must concentrate more on establishing the reputation of our student body! This kind of event is not that important! We do not want the same thing of Takaki-sen—” The other members looked at the secretary before he stopped.

“Takaki? You mean Takaki Yuya? What about him?” Chinen asked, probing further on the matter.

“Takaki Yuya, he—” one of the members wanted to speak, but was stopped by the secretary of the student council.

“I’ll say,” the secretary took a deep breadth before he looked towards Chinen. “Takaki-senpai used to be the head of the disciplinary committee. Back then when we didn’t have a president, he was the one that was leading the whole of the student council board. He was … a great guy. However, due to certain things, he quit,”

“Certain things? I don’t think Takaki is an unreasonable person to quit the board without valid reasons,”

“I guess, it’s about Nakajima Yuto,” one of the members said. “I was here when it happened. He said that if the student council board can’t help Nakajima Yuto, then there is no point of him staying on or something,”

Chinen sighed. He had a feeling Takaki will be at that same place again. He then looked at the secretary of the council board, before he announced. “Alright, secretary, check our budgets for this year, and report it to the accountant manager. Accountant, check with the resource on what do we need for that valentine day even, so that we accountant could calculate the money. I need the advertising committee to come out with a design for the flyers and posters. After everything is done, submit it to me by next week. Is that clear?!”

Everybody just said yes, before Chinen grabbed his bag and ran out of the room.

The secretary plunged to the floor, and grabbed his hair in frustration. “Chinen-san is really amazing,”

“Takaki!” Chinen shouted, before the person have sat up and tried to look around for the voice. “Ah, it’s you, Chinen Yuri,”

“Don’t go calling people’s full name!” Chinen complained, before he sighed. “Oh well, I’ve something to ask you,”

Takaki remained silent, while Chinen have continued to his question. “Why did you quit the council board?”

Takaki smiled, before he took a stone from the ground and threw it into the pond. “You have already known the answer. Your question is wrong, you should be asking, why did I quit the council board, and everything else and become a comrade of Yuto, right?”

Chinen shrugged his shoulders, before he looked at Takaki, expecting an answer.

Takaki smiled, before he laid falt onto the patch of grass underneath him. “You know, I was always masked by the faces of studies, and any other things. Dressing inappropriately to me is just like, not having a decent image. When I met Yu last time, my perspective of that change. Yu isn’t that bad of a guy. He was… upright, honest, and straightforward. The best thing is, he doesn’t hide the real him,”

“Real him?” Chinen repeated. Takaki nodded his head, before he looked at Chinen. “You would know, don’t you?”

Chinen thought back of that day, before he smiled to himself. “Yea, he’s… unexpectedly, charming I would say,”

Takaki then looked into Chinen’s eyes, before he turned away. “I can see that glitter in your eyes,”

Silence surfaced, before Takaki say nothing further. The wind blew, the brought the leaves along with it. “Takaki-kun, I think… I’m falling in love with Yuto,”
