Chapter Eight

Four of them sat in the clubroom.

"Oh my gosh!" Yamapi exclaimed, as he ran to the notice board and plucked out the 'Dimensions' research down, and hurriedly ran back to where he was, flipping through documents and documents on his table.
Ryo got up, and stand beside him,"Pi, what's wrong?" Yamapi hardly behaved like this.

Yampi ignored Ryo and opening the drawer, he took out his spectacles, and wore it. Ryo backed off and settled down on his seat. "Ryo-kun, what's wrong?" Tegoshi asked.

"Ah, it's ok. When he's wearing his spectacle, just don't disturb him. It means he is serious," Shige explained, cutting off Ryo's explaination.

Tegoshi looked towards Yamapi. That's true. Ever since he joined the club, he had never seen Yamapi so serious in his work before. Few minutes later, Tegoshi could still see Yamapi flipping through the documents in high speed. The speed increases and increases as every second pass by.

"Sugoi (Awesome)! How.. how in the world did he managed to do that!?" Tegoshi mumbled, loud enough for Ryo to hear it.

"That guy. Although he looked ditzy all the time, he actually have this ability of 'fast-speed eyes' " Ryo explained. "Fast speed eyes?"

"Yes. He could flip the book every second, getting the whole page into his mind the moment he glaces it. In short, it's 'brain-capturing-information-fast-memory'"

Tegoshi's mouth turned to an oval shape, and he glanced over to Yamapi. Finally, after a few more minutes, Yamapi, taking off his spectacles, and shouting,"I found it!"

Ryo, Shige and Tegoshi ran towards Yamapi. Yamapi stood up and flipped through the book, and holding up the book, he showed it to the three who was standing behind him.

'The key- the beholder of the basement dimension will not be destroyed, unless the beholder dies,' 

Yamapi took the document on his hand, and explained, "I was looking at this paper that was left on my desk, and i got kind of curious," With that, he handed the paper over, and the paper reads.

'To whoever is reading this, the dimensions to the basement will not be destroyed. There will be no more ways that you could enter the dimensions. People who have entered before and returned, you could never enter again, and you will become dust if you do so. Your existence will be erased.'

"This messgage, is definitely weird. They say that even if you would to go to the dimensions, you need not the passageway. Only to find the beholder of key, and with that person, you could pass through the dimensions," Yamapi said, as he flipped to the page once again. Ryo took over the paper. "No, wait, look here. It said that the beholder will dissolve into dust," he took over the book, and pointed to a sentence," It said that the beholder of the key that enters the dimension could control everything. There was a case a beholder managed to stop himself from turning to dust by manipulation of the forces in the dimension break."

Tegoshi walked back to the sofa and slumped onto it. What about Massu? Is he going to disappear? What will happen to him? Theses thought scared Tegoshi, sending fear down his whole body.

"Tegoshi," Ryo called and walked over, when he realised the other two was still busy discussing about the issue that they just found out.

"Don't worry, Massu's fine. It stated that even if the last user which entered the door that broke, there will be no harm done to the user," Ryo patted his shoulder.

Tegoshi felt lethargic all of the sudden. He rested his head onto Ryo's shoulder. "Ryo-kun, what am i to do now?" Tegoshi mumbled, his tears forming at the tip of his eyes.

Shige and Yamapi turned, not knowing what happened. Yamapi was clutching on the book so tightly, that it prouduces a crumpling sound. Shige heard and turned, to realise that there was rage in Yamapi's eyes.

Jealousy. 

That was the word that surface in front of  Shige the moment he saw Yamapi's face. Ryo placed his hand over to Tegoshi's shoulder. Quietly, the four stand still in the clubroom, leaving everything as it is.

'The key that opens the passageway is not the door found in the basement, but rather a person,'

A person? But who? Ryo thought to himself. The evening sun beamed through from the bedroom window. With the laptop on his study desk, Ryo begin searching for the relevant information on the net. The typing of the keyboard could be heard very loudly, but of course, nobody is in his room.

"RYOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" Yamapi pounced onto the back of Ryo's.

"Pi, get off!" Ryo shouted. Yamapi pouted, shaking his head. Ryo clenched his fist, which finally made Yamapi backed off, and settled down onto Ryo's bed. Ryo turned around, "How did you even come in!?" Yamapi pointed to Ryo's room balcony, "You forget to lock it, Ryo~" Ryo slammed his palm onto his forehead, "Shit!"

Yamapi made a victory sigh. Yamapi and Ryo stayed just right beside each other, with their room balcony right next. Yamapi always climed over the balcony and 'hijacked' Ryo's room. "Don't come climbing into people's room like this!" Ryo warned Yamapi. "And then? What are you researching on?" Yamapi came and looked into Ryo's computer. "I am searching for the likely beholder percentage person in our school,"

Ryo continued searching. Few minutes later, the result came out. Yamapi's eyes widened, together with Ryo's. "hundred.. hundred percent?.. Is.. is not this..?" Yamapi stammered. "How.. How could it be..?" Ryo wondered. The person's name and picture was on the screen. Ryo finally closed his laptop, and turned to Yamapi, "Let's ask him tomorrow,"

Tegoshi, Shige and Koyama walked into the clubroom. Ryo and Yamapi were already inside, researching. Ryo turned around when he heard the door closing. "Are you fine already, Koyama-kun?" Koyama nodded his head. But yet, his face still seemed to be partial pale.

Yamapi and Ryo looked at each other, before gathering around the others at the meeting table. Right at the left side of the table, sat Tegoshi, followed by Shige, and Koyama. Opposite them was Ryo and Yamapi. "So, I have something to say," Yamapi announced. Ryo open his laptop, and typed something inside and press the 'Enter' button. He then turned the laptop around, so that everybody can see the details.

"I searched it yesterday, and this was the result that came out," Ryo stopped, swallowed his saliva, and cotninued, "It is the person in our school who holds the most compatible rate to that of a beholder," Shige, Tegoshi and Koyama eyes widened. After that, both Shige and Koyama turned their vision to Tegoshi. Tegoshi's eyes widened. He blinked his eyes and tried to digest the information. Right on the screen, it was Tegoshi's profile picture.

Shige turned back and read the information on the screen.

Name: Tegoshi Yuya  手越祐也
Age: 16 years old. 
D.O.B: 11-November
Parent's Name: Mother: Tsuyoki Umi; Father: Tegoshi Matsuka

"It's.. it's first year.." Shige muttered.

"Your name is Tegoshi, huh.." Koyama commented as well.

Tegoshi just nodded his head. Ryo looked, "There is more," Ryo pressed the 'Enter' button once again.

Status of parent's : Dead. 
Cause: Died in extinction of dimension, 'Guardians of doors' 

Tegoshi's eyes widened. He stood up, hands slamming onto the table, "I.. I did not know anything!"

"Didn't someone tell you? Or your relatives?" Yamapi added.

Tegoshi shooked his head," I.. All i know was, i am an orphan. My keeper told me that she found me outside the orphanage. She saw a name tag labelled 'Tegoshi Yuya' and kept me. She brought me up, and when i was six years old, i was adopted into my current family,"

"You keeper?" Ryo asked, etching his eyebrows.

Tegoshi nodded.

"Ririko Natsume. She's the owner of the orphanage,'Sunshine', that I stayed in,"

Ryo typed the name into the search engine.

No results found.

"There is no such person," Ryo answered. "What?! Impossible! I .. I just went there and met her few days ago!" Tegoshi shouted. "What in the world is happening!?"

"There is two reasons on why there is no results found," Ryo spoke, calmly. Tegoshi shofted his head, looking at Ryo, expecting Ryo to continue with his words.

"First, the person does not exist in the beginning. Means that, she told you a fake name all these years,"

Tegoshi shooked his head, "I saw her identity card before, she dropped it and I returned it to her,"

"So, it will be the second reason," Ryo looked, and solemnly, he spoke, sending shivers down to everybody's spine,

"She's ... dead.."

Tegoshi falled to the floor immediately. Dead? Natsume-san is... DEAD?
