Chapter Sixteen

"Eh!? Did.. did Takasugi really said that?" Chinen asked, when they were having lunch break. Aiko glanced up and down, before nodding her head. Chinen placed his hands under his chin, "But.. Takasugi-san, should not be like this. Remember, she supported us alot back then,"

Aiko's eyes widened. "Then, what should i do, Chii?" Chinen looked at her, before he went quiet. He, himself, also don't know what he should do. He didn't- of course, didn't want to break up with Aiko, since he had a hard time to get together with her. What should he do?

"Ai-chan," Chinen called, as he grabbed onto Aiko's hands, and look at her. His eyes, felt with despair, lost, and troubled. Aiko's heart ached. Chinen then placed her hands onto his chest again. "Ai-chan, i'll not break up with you, but.. in order for you and riko's friendship to be intact," he stop, and grip Aiko's hand tighter. "Let's just stop going out together for the moment, ne? Maybe one day Takasugi-san will accept us,"

Aiko just nodded her head, as she slowly embraced Chinen by his waist. Chine encircled his hands around Aiko's head, and patted her head. "It's okay, ne, Ai-chan," Aiko nodded her head, as her warm tears dripped onto his shoulders.

"Riko-chan!" Aiko called for her, as she hugged her from behind. Turning back, Riko's eyes widened. "Riko-chan, let's go home together!" Riko's eyes widened. 'Don't she need to go h--'  And it striked her. She remembered what she told Aiko this afternoon. She looked over to Chinen, who was happily chatting away with Yuto and Yamada. Then, he grabbed his bag, and about to exit the classroom, when Chinen turned towards to their direction.

"So, I see you both tomorrow ne, Takasugi-san, Sugihara-san,"

The YamaJima pair eyes widened, as Chinen greeted the both. Aiko then replied, "See you tomorrow, Chinen-san, Nakajima-san, Yamada-san!" Riko regained her conscious, and greeted back. "See you Yuto-kun, Yama-chan, Chinen!"

The three smiled, before they walked off. Riko grabbed her bag, and hurriedly pushed Aiko out of the classroom. "Aiko-chan, don't tell me you..." Riko mumbled. Aiko gave her questioning look, and smiled. "Yup! We broke up,"

Riko was taken aback by her. Because of her, they broke up? Why? Why? She backed off, and ran away. She didn't know how to face Aiko, she felt that she've made Aiko suffered, and it's all her own fault.

"Aiko," another voice sounded. When Riko ran away, Aiko was left standing on the hallway on her own. She turned around, to see none other than Saito Hiroyuki.

"Riko-chan," a voice called. Riko stopped running, and turned behind, and realize she was facing the YamaJima pair. Both of them, grabbing on side of her wrist, dragged her to the canopy of trees. There's a serious facial expression on both of their face, and she knew she's in trouble.

"Takasugi Riko! Explain yourself!" Yuto shouted, pushing her towards the tree, one of his hand pressing against the tree. "Chotto, Yu-kun, you're scaring the poor girl," Yamada voice out, pushing Yuto's hand down. Yuto retracted his hand, and walked off, huffing out every anger he felt. Yamada then smiled, and dusted off the dirt on Riko's shoulders. This action have actually soothe Riko down abit, when the grip on her shoulder tightened, until she could feel her whole body crumbling down. "AHHH!" Riko shouted, her knees bending. "Riko-chan, you okay?" Yamada smiled, as he stopped his grip, and picked her up by her arms. "It's okay ne, we're not blaming you," the grip tightened. "AHHHHHH!" Riko have screamed again. Yuto have turned around, and realised Riko was shivering.

"Yama-chan, stop it!" Yuto have went over, and placed his hand over Yamada's. He stopped, and gave his angellic smile to Yuto. "I didn't do anything, did I, Riko-chan?" He turned towards Riko, and smiled. Riko slammed her back against the tree, and fall to the floor. Tears of pain was flowing down her eyes. "Ah! You did it, Yama-chan. Your hands, you can't be kidding,"

Yamada sat down onto the floor. "She is the one that's bad! She broke Chinen and Sugihara up!" Riko grabbed her arms, as she suddenly burst into tears. "Yuto-kun! Yama-chan! I'm sorry!" The both look at Riko, and wondered the sudden change of the situation. "WAHHHH! SORRRRY!!!" Riko cried out loudly. Yamada stood up, panicking on how to calm Riko down, while Yuto just shaked his head. "Damn, Yama-chan, you did it,"

Riko finally stopped crying, and looked up to the both of them. "I'm.. I'm being forced. I don't want them to break up ei.. either," Both of them diverted their attention towards the Riko, whose by then, tears stopped falling down, as she wiped them away, with the back of her palm.

"Saito.." she mumbled, and looked up. "Saito threatened me, that if I don't let Aiko return to his side.. he.."

"He will what?" Yamada sounded kind of pissed. Yuto placed his hands around the shoulders of Yamada, cooling him down. "He'll do something to Yuto-kun! I didn't want Yama-chan to be sad! whenever.. whenever he said about Yuto, Yama-chan's sad face will appear right in front of me, I..." she stopped, controlling her tears. "I didn't want that to happen...!"

Yamada then ran up to Riko, and hugged her. "Sorry Riko-chan! You really love me ne!"

"Yama-chan! It's YamaJima that I loved, but anyway!" Riko sobbed out loudly. Yuto shaked his head again. "What's with this dramatic scene," he then walked over, and seperated the two aparat. "Riko, there's no time for drama now, you need to find Aiko and explain this to her, now."

Riko lowered her head.
