Chapter Seventeen
"What do you want? Bringing me here?" Aiko asked, as she stood on the rooftop with Hiroyuki. Hiroyuki's back was facing her, as he remaind unmoved. "Speak up!" Aiko shouted.
"Now, now. What's so hurry? In anyway, you've broke up with that Chinen Yuri already right? So means, I've the right to..." Hiroyuki said, as he turned and walked up towards Aiko. Aiko back-tracked, until she hit the fence. She was cornered by Hiroyuki.
"Hiro! Wh.. What do you want!" Aiko shouted, tears forming at her tip of her eyes. Hiroyuki raised up his hand, and using his thumb, he wiped away the tears. "Don't cry, Aiko, I seriously loved you,"
Aiko gritted her teeth, as she gazed at Hiroyuki. Can she trust his words? Can he trust him, and changed her impression of him like she had few years back, when she first knew him?
"Hi..ro.." Aiko mumbled. "AI-CHAN!" A voice was heard loudly. Aiko turned, and realized it was Chinen. "Chii!" Aiko shouted back. Hiroyuki by then had gripped tightly on Aiko's wrist, tightening the grip every second. Aiko's knees turned weak, as she started to fall down, with Hiroyuki's hand caught onto her waist.
"AI!" Chine shouted, going nearer every second. Hiroyuki had tightened the grip, and shouted. "Don't come near, if not I'm not sure what I'll do to Aiko. I'll probably kill her when I'm insane enough,"
Chinen gaped, and stop in his tracks. "Stop it! Ai don't like you anymore! How much more pain you would like to give to her!? She's suffering now! If you really like her, you won't do this to her!"
"I can't! I have nothing left! I only left with Aiko! I can't do without her!" Hiroyuki shouted, his face turning colour. Aiko beared the pain, and looked at Hiroyuki. "Hiro?" Hiroyuki faced down, and looked at Aiko. "Aiko, I'm sorry for doing that to you last time,"
"Indeed I was a flirt, but.. I never intended to dump you!" Hiroyuki clarified. Aiko's eyes widened as she looked at Hiroyuki. "I never ever to.. I... really did thought of settling down with you, because.."
"I knew I fall in love you when we started going out,"
With that, Hiroyuki released the grip, and let go of Aiko. He kneeled down onto the floor. "I'm sorry Aiko, I didn't want to do this too," he cupped his face, and sobbed quietly under his hands. Aiko fall to her knees as well, kneeling beside Hiroyuki. Stretching out her both hands, she buried Hiroyuki's under her chest. "Sorry Hiro, Sorry," she whispered.
Chinen was clenching his fist tightly, as the scene in front of him revealed. The next moment, was footsteps running up to the rooftop. Yuto was holding tightly onto Yamada's hand, while Riko was just right behind them. "Yama-chan, Yuto-kun, both of you run to--" before Riko could finish her sentence, she bumped into the pair's back. "What're you do--" she walked to the side, and saw Aiko hugging Hiroyuki, with Chinen not far away. Yamada felt his heart bursting. Chinen was showing no expression, yet, why is Yamada feeling hurt? Probably because his friend was suffering. Unable to contain the multiple feelings coming towards him, Yamada hurriedly buried his face into Yuto's chest, and sobbed silently, with Yuto patting his head, consolling him.
Riko clenched her fist. Why did Aiko went back to that bastard? Why..? After all he did to her..?
Aiko sat on the sofa, with Riko across her. "Explain yourself," Riko said, looking up at Aiko.
Aiko fidgeted around her position, before she looked up at Riko. "I'm sorry. Hiro said.." Aiko started to explain everything, from the time she meet Hiroyuki at the rooftop.
"And? You believe him?" Riko asked, her hands crossed in front of her chest.
"That's the first time I saw Hiro cry.." Aiko looked around, "his tears are real, I can feel it, Riko-chan,"
Riko sighed. "That's true, but..!" Riko stopped, and looked at Aiko, "What about Chinen!?"
"Riko-chan, I thought you don't want us to be together?"
"That was..! That was because Saito threatened me!" Riko shouted, as she banged the coffee table in front of her.
Aiko looked away. "Chii and I didn't break up, we're just faking it,"
"Then..!?" Riko asked once again, her volume tuning up. Aiko fall to the back of the sofa, and placing her wrist onto her forehead. "Riko-chan, I'm so confused now, what should I do?"
"Follow your heart," Riko replied, as she come over and sat beside Aiko on the sofa. "I'll support you, no matter what, alright?" Aiko peeped through her eyes, "Thanks, Riko-chan"
Aiko crawled onto her bed, and sighed. It was such a long and tiring day. What was so tiring was that Aiko is musing over the fact that, who is she loving right now? Her phone ringed, and grumbling, she picked it up.
"Sugihara-san?" the caller replied.
"Ah! Nakajima-san!" Aiko replied, feeling abit awkward. "Yama-chan is beside me, we decided to talk to you,"
"Yes?"
"We.. You know, we think you're a special girl,"
"Special?" Aiko questioned. "You're the first girl, that made Chinen so head over heels for,"
Yamada apparantly snatched over the phone. "I know it's rude to say this, but, Sugihara-san! Please, don't hurt Chinen anymore!" Yuto snatched back, as he consoled the about-to-cry boy beside him. "I'm sorry Sugihara-san. Don't mind Yama-chan. He's just worried for the boy,"
"I'm not! Yu-kun, stop being mean!" Yamada's voice replied.
"Chinen really loves you, that's what I think you should know. From young, Chinen have been a quiet boy, and it's always me and Yama-chan talking to him. If we never talk to him, he never talks to us. I think it's really a wonder that when he started going out with you, he opened up alot," Yuto stopped, and sighed. "I just didn't want that Chinen to appear again, I know it's selfish of me to say this, but, Sugihara-san, would you please stay by Chinen's side?"
Aiko remained silent, as she looked at the photoframe she clinged in her hand. It was her and Hiroyuki, it was taken back then when they were together.
"Nakajima-san, thank you," Aiko replied. "I'm sleeping, thanks for calling," Aiko said again, and she put down the phone. Opening the drawer, she placed the photoframe in, this time, she knew that her decision would be correct.
Afterall, she loved Chinen.
