<< Chapter Six                                    Chapter Eight >>

Aiko slammed the door behind her before her sister has come out and wondered what is she doing. Aiko started to pour out everything, and she just shake her head, and pushed the plastic bag on her hand into Riko's hand before she went off to her room. Biting on the cracker she had in her hand, Riko decided to go out of the house to see what happened to the two guys.

Turning around the area, she saw the two figures standing at where her sister have mentioned. She slowly walked up, and realized that both of them were still blankly staring at each other. When Yabu have then realized someone is walking towards them, he hurriedly turned and ran off.

"OI YABU!"

Yabu was already far from his sight. Hikaru sighed and ruffled his own hair. He turned, and realized a girl's face was just right in front of her and it scared the hell out of him.

The girl smiled, before she looked at Hikaru. "Eh, so you're the Yaotome Hikaru my sister have been talking about,"

Hikaru blinked his eyes, before he looked at her. "You're Reiko!" he shouted out. Riko's mouth widened, before she closed it again. "Eh.. So you know about me?"

"I heard Sugihara-san calling your name," Hikaru said, looking away. "And you remember?"

"Because you caught my eyes when I first saw you!" he blurted out, before he covered his mouth. Riko tried to control her laughter, before she started to laugh out. "Ah, I'm sorry, but you're really cute," Hikaru blushed before Riko dried the tears that was formed at the side of her eyes. "Takasugi Reiko, nice to meet you!"

"Takasugi?" Hikaru repeated, before Riko's eyes turned cold. She looked away, and Hikaru have realized he had said something rude and unbecoming. He hurriedly apologized. Somehow, it was as though Riko had spilt personality. "We're...." Riko paused, before she turned and looked at Hikaru. "Can I call you Hika-chan?" she asked.

That sudden question shocked Hikaru much, but he then smiled and nodded his head.

Just then, without saying anything, Riko has went over to raid Hikaru's pocket, and took out his phone, before pressing something on his phone and throwing it back to him. "Mail me, all right?" before she turned and went back into her house.

Riko giggled, and turned back. She saw how Hikaru have shouted in the streets, and jumped up and down, and doing some crazy dance moves that she doesn't understand in the streets.

"Cute, really cute,"

Slamming his door behind him, he had taken a tray of cookies up to his to his own room. He looked around, before he settled onto his chair once again, his head buried into the computer. Opening the browser, he looked through the blog thoroughly again since he had nothing to do.

Just then, his chat message box has ringed, and he saw that it was from her. Sighing, he decided not to reject her messages any longer.

‘Hey’

‘Ain’t we over already? Stop interrupting my private time’

‘But…’

‘That’s it,’

He closes the messenger box. Staring at the screen for a while, he closed his laptop, before he got his keys and wallet and escaped from his house. Somehow, that girl just makes him fume more, and made him to seclude from his friends too.

“I really want to talk to them now. Jeez…” Daiki complained, as he snapped his tongue. He looked at store, and decided to purchase something from inside. Going in, the doorbell of the store sounded, and he just went over to the shelves and randomly grabbed some food that looks edible to him.

After purchasing, Daiki have went out of the store, and continued to wander around the streets. He went over the park nearby, and decided to take a breather before he goes home and rest for the day.

It was a good thing he remembered to bring out his Walkman before he left the house. His keys, earpiece, phone and Walkman are the most essential items of his life and he can never imagine life without them.

They keep him survived. Or rather, these items helped him to survive from his mundane life.

Plugging in his earpiece, he was brought to another world by the music that was stored inside his Walkman. Listening to the songs, each lyric have flow in nicely into his brain, and he just continued to listen to every song, capturing the meaning of each behind.

Finally, after a few songs have played, he decided to go home since it’s getting rather late. Taking out his earpiece, he grabbed all he had, and started to stroll home. Just then, a shadow was seen running towards him. Not having a good dodging sense, they collided, and the next moment, was both of the ground, groaning in pain.
“Jeez! Can’t you see where are you going?” Daiki complained, his hand on his head as a sense of pain going on inside. “I’m sorry,” the boy apologized, before he got up and help Daiki up on his feets. Daiki looked up, and realized he was rather tall, and sleek. “It’s all right,”

The person bowed his head, before he turned and left. Daiki shrugged it off, and went back to his own house.

Riko stayed pouted the whole day. “What’s wrong?” Aiko asked, as she went towards her sister. “That idiot. THAT IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT!” Riko shouted out, before everyone in the class started to stare at both of them. Aiko hurriedly covered Riko’s mouth, before pulling her out of the room. “What idiot!?” Aiko hissed, shaking her head. “It’s that Yaotome Hikaru! I gave him my number, and look!” Riko shouted, taking her phone and shoving it directly into Aiko’s face.

“And?” Aiko asked, pushing the phone away from her face.

“Can’t you see? No new messages at all!”

Aiko nearly collapsed on the floor before she held onto the wall beside her for support. “Oh gosh, that’s just some stupid thing to be fussing about. You can just go home and ask him about it!”

“I’ll lose my face!” Riko pouted, before she tugged the phone back into her pocket, and going back into the classroom. ‘To think I was kind of interested in him,’ Riko thought, before she clenched her hands tightly.

Hikaru stared into space, before the class chairman has caught him back into reality. “Yaotome, are you okay?”

Hikaru turned and stared blankly at him. “Hey, if you received a phone number from a girl, what will you do?”

“Huh?” the class chairman blinked his eyes, before he pondered onto Hikaru’s question. “What will I do… well, I guess if she’s someone I’m interested in, I’ll text her,”

Hikaru turned back, and all of a sudden, he stood up and went nearer into the class chairman’s face. “What will you text her about?”

The class chairman started to backtrack, but Hikaru just kept the distance between them the same. Perspiring slightly, the class chairman replied, “Well… like… send her greetings and asked her what is she doing?”
Hikaru’s eyes went towards the right, before he hurriedly held onto the chairman’s hand. “THANK YOU REN!” before he dashed out of the classroom.

“…. That was the first time he called my name…” Ren smiled to himself.
