Looking on the rooftop, and ensuring that it was safe, he opened his phone, and stared at the screen. “Hmm…”

He read out as he typed, but keep back spacing when he thought that his message was kind of weird.

“AH! SCREW THIS!” he shouted, before he closed his eyes, and press the sent button. Sighing, he closed his phone, and waited for a reply.

Few second later, his message tone started ringing. He got so nervous till he keeps throwing his phone up, until he caught it and make himself calm down.

Eh.. so you’ve finally text me. Took you long enough, Hika-chan~ ^o^

Hikaru smiled to himself as he read the text message, and did a victory sign.

Hey, school is ending. Want to hang out somewhere? ☺

Riko, who saw the message, jumped out from her desk, which caught the attention of the teacher. “Takasugi-san, please sit down, and no phone during lesson time, if not I’m going to confiscate it,”

Riko blushed, and settled back down onto her seat. “Pfft, pfft!” Riko tried to call out her sister who was sitting in front of her. Aiko turned back, and Riko have excitedly whispered, “Aoi-nee, Hika-chan ask for a date with me later after school, so go home without me!”

Aiko hurriedly turned around, and look at Riko. “Reiko, today is Friday, you know that right?” Riko stared blankly at Aiko, before her mouth opened wide. “Ah! Jeez… my blog post…” she sighed, before she stared out of the window. Grinning, she then turned back to Aiko. “It’s all right to skip a blog post once in awhile!” she then took out her phone and text back to Hikaru that it was all right.

Aiko shake her head. “That is why romance is not a good option. You’ll just get blind by the fog of love in front of you and forget everything else…” Aiko turned back to the front, before she turned back again to look at her sister. “I wonder if I’ll get a chance like Reiko?”

“Arioka, want to h----” before they finished, Daiki just shake his head, and headed towards the gate to go home. “Dai-chan!” that familiar voice.

Daiki stopped in his tracks, and turned to look. Her charlotte black hair that was tied into a ponytail, flow with the wind. “Yui-chan…” Daiki whispered, before he paused. Memories of everything came back to his brain like a tornado. “What do you want?”

“Let me explain, please,” Yui begged. “Don’t leave me hanging here anymore,”

Daiki sighed, before he nodded his head, and followed her to the field located not to far away. Passing by, he saw a person with a magazine that covered his face, lying on a bench. Daiki did not worried that this person might overhear their conversation since he’s probably sleeping.

“I’m sorry, I think you have heard it last time about what happens,” she murmured, fidgeting about her fingers.

Daiki looked at her. “Explain yourself. I’ll give you this one chance,”

Yui looked at Daiki, before she looked away from his eyes. “One year ago, I was dating Kyosuke-kun, and that was when you came by. You confessed to me, and I was really happy that you like me. So I became your girlfriend…” she paused, and continued. “In other words, I’m two-timing you last time,”

Daiki made no reaction, and just looked at the ground, with some times of blinking his eyes. “I just wanted to explain this to you, or rather, tell you about this in your face. I know I can’t be forgiven, but at least… please know that I really enjoyed the time I sp---”

“Why did I have to go through all those words from my friends when I’m not the one in fault?” Daiki suddenly blurted out which stopped Yui’s speech. “Why am I the one who is suffering?”

Yui made no movement, and she just turn away. Her hands were shivering, and she was trying her best to control her tears. When she lifted up her head, she saw the boy in front of her was already having tears flowing down his eyes.

“I really did like you. I really wanted to cherish you. When I heard of the rumors, I didn’t think of anything, I just thought of you. You didn’t pick up my calls, didn't reply my messages. And then, you appeared one day, pestering me to listen to you. What did you treat me as, Yui-chan? What in the world am I to you?” Daiki ranted out, his tears somehow choking his words.

Yui fall to the floor, and started to cry out loud. “I’m sorry Dai-chan. I’m sorry…”

Daiki turned and left the place. The person who was lying on the bench, got up, and run after Daiki.

He tapped his finger impatiently as he looked at his clock. Late, late late! He mumbled to himself. Suddenly, he saw a shadow running towards him, and he smiled to himself. ‘I feel bad for not going online to talk to the others, but this is as important too’

“Sorry for the wait, Hika-chan,” Riko panted, as she arrived right in front of him. Hikaru smiled before grabbing Riko’s hand as they headed off to the first place of their date.

The house was exceptionally quiet for a Friday night. Aiko usually would have her sister beside her, bugging Aiko to type her blog post, and after that they will go out to eat yakisoba. Sighing, Aiko opened her browser. She didn’t have any mood to type, so she decided to put photos she took during her trip to Hokkaido last year.

After a few minutes, there was immediately a comment on her blog post.

YabuKota: Aiko-san, are you all right? You don’t seem to be in your best mood today. Cheer up.

Aiko smiled to herself. Suddenly, the name of the comment, flashed back into her head. Yabu Kota. Isn’t that the boy from the balcony from her school? Her mouse went over to the button for replying, when she realize she wasn’t supposed to reply to any of her reader’s comment. It always had been a practice of she and her sister.

“I really want to reply him though…” Aiko sighed, before she decided to give it up, and closed the browser.

His fist went to the bark of the tree, and he used all his force to punch it. “DAMN!” Daiki shouted, before he plunged to the floor. “The tree is crying,” a voice sounded, and Daiki turned, before he saw it was a boy in the same uniform as him. He looked at his face closer, and realizes it was that boy with the cats.

“You… Y…You’re from my school?” Daiki asked, astonished. “Arioka Daiki, was it?” he smiled, and went towards Daiki, before he stood down. “Nice to meet you, Daiki. I knew we will meet again,”

Daiki suddenly felt his heart beating, and he just stood up, and attempted to walk away. He didn’t really want to know this boy’s name, and right now, he needed some time alone. And, it was Friday. He needs to rush back to be online to meet with the others as soon as possible. “I don’t think your friends are all online tonight, so why not spend some time with me?” the boy have grabbed his wrist, and pulled him so that he could whisper into Daiki’s ears.

Daiki’s face turned red, before he forcefully let go of the grip of the boy’s hand. “S..Stop it! I’m… I’m a boy, damn it!” before Daiki ran away.

The boy stared at Daiki running off, before he started laughing out loud. “I’m a boy he said? He was obviously blushing red in the face,”

“Thanks for today, I have enjoyed myself. Sorry to take up so much time,” Riko said, as she bowed her head down, and looked at Hikaru. “Do you think we could meet up more often, since we stayed just across eac h other?”

“I’m sure we could,” Riko replied, before she turned, and runs back into her apartment block. Hikaru looks down to his watch, before he shouted, “CRAP!” and runs back to his house as well.

When Riko reached home, she didn’t bathe. Immediately, she went to her laptop, and started to type her blog post. Her readers must be wondering why she didn’t update at the normal time.

“Took you long enough to come home, was the date fun?” Aiko commented, leaning against the door of Riko’s room. Riko smiled, before she took out her jacket. “Yes! Hika-chan is amusing!”

Aiko smiled, before she walked out of the room.

Hikaru immediately did two things once he was on his computer. He logs into the chat room, and also open a browser to T.R’s blog page.

YaotomeHikaru logged in

InooKei: Hikaru! What took you so long! Everybody was waiting!

YaotomeHikaru: I’m sorry! I had a date with Reiko and totally forget about the time.

YabuKota: Oh well.. it’s not that you’re the only late. Inoo and Daiki came online just a while ago only.

Seeing Yabu’s message, Hikaru suddenly remembered that time when he met Yabu. He didn’t expect that he would get to see how Yabu looked like. All along, he imagined Yabu as the elite student, the quiet one. When he saw Yabu in real life, he looked much more… unapproachable.

Hikaru decided to shove that incident away, and chat like nothing ever happened.
